Now a third generation family business, Christenson Law Firm, LLP has a rich legacy and a tradition for being honest, hardworking, effective advocates.

Originally the Law Office of John T. Fuller, the firm that is now Christenson Law Firm, LLP dates back to the 1920s.  Don G. Christenson, who had recently received his law degree from the University of California at Berkeley, joined Mr. Fuller at the corner of Villa and Olive Street in Porterville, CA in 1949.

George Kralowec joined the firm two years later. The three men worked together as Fuller, Christenson and Kralowec until Mr. Fuller died in 1965.  After Fuller’s death, the firm became Christenson and Kralowec and in 1972, the firm moved to its current location on Putnam Avenue in Porterville, CA.

Second Generation

Between 1977 and 1982, three of Don Christenson’s sons, Robert, Richard, and James, and one son-in-law, Glade Roper, joined the firm.  Following Mr. Kralowec’s death in 1983  the firm became Christenson and Roper until Mr. Roper was appointed to the bench in 1989.  Judge Roper was a Superior Court judge in Porterville for almost twenty-five years.  Now retired, he has a special assignment at the South County Justice Center.

The firm then became Christenson Law Firm, and the remaining three brothers worked together for the next twenty-three years, practicing probate, family, and social security/disability law.

Third Generation

In 2010, Richard’s son, Lars Christenson, joined the firm after graduating from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School.  Shortly afterward, Robert’s son, Dallan Christenson, also started working at the firm and is now a paralegal helping with the firm’s large number of social security and disability matters.

In 2013, the oldest brother, Robert Christenson, died following a knee replacement surgery.  The following year his son, Vonn Christenson, moved his business litigation practice from Orange County, California to join the firm.  The firm opened a satellite office in the heart of Los Angeles and expanded its practices to include a number of business litigation, intellectual property, and tort matters.

Now named Christenson Law Firm, LLP, the firm continues to expand and looks forward to welcoming additional talent soon.
