PRACTICE
Mr. Christenson has been working at Christenson Law Firm, LLP since 1982 with his primary focus on Family Law, Debt Collections, and Conservatorships.
BACKGROUND
James A. Christenson is a 1973 graduate from Porterville High School where he lettered in Tennis, Cross Country and Basketball. After graduating from PHS, he attended Porterville College for a year where he continued to run cross country and play tennis. Mr. Christenson then served a 2-year mission for the LDS church, after which he graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in Germanic Languages. He attended law school at the University of Wyoming where he graduated in 1982.
Mr. Christenson is a founding member of MWF Adult Basketball here in Porterville and still plays enthusiastically, albeit with, in his words, less skill and athleticism. He has served as a lay bishop of his Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint (LDS) congregation on two occasions and continues to serve the community and his church in teaching and leading youth in his ward.
Mr. Christenson counts it among his most notable accomplishments that he has helped raise four children, who have each grown to be self-reliant, useful, productive and energetic members of their communities.
